Note: Spoilers for the latest installment of Campaign 4 follow below.
The Warrior Group Revealed
The third episode finished on a major cliffhanger and revealed the initial group of adventurers who will branch out from the main group to undertake their own adventure, apart from the other two tables.
This warrior group features Teor (portrayed by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).
Why Split the Party?
Given a large ensemble, it was clear from the outset that keeping everyone at a single group would be impossible.
This explains, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Prelude, weaving together the individual narratives before dividing into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Planners, and Seekers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
Per the DM, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who enjoy a classically intense fight-heavy narrative style where peaceful solutions are rare.
Upon first impression, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might seem out of place, but the events of the latest installment show why these five characters are best suited for the Soldiers table.
Reasons to Leave
First, the group understands precisely where to head next after a brutal opening clash with the enemy group.
Casimir of Thjazi—whose death initiated the narrative’s action—used the enemy for his personal gain, breaking into the secret base, attacking the character, and stealing all the enchanted items to auction.
The antagonist then settled his obligations and escaped to a secure base in the remote area, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.
Character Drivers
Moreover, each adventurer has a personal reason to depart Dol-Makjar:
- Thimble, as the close ally and closest confidant, desires vengeance.
- The knowledgeable figure has experience in the northern area and cautions that it is a hostile place.
- The strong character and Wicander, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to kill the target and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
- However, their status as key figures in the powerful family could assist the party reach areas they usually can’t.
- Furthermore, The fighter pledged a life debt to Wicander for his salvation and will now accompany him anywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Lastly, all of them are wanted by the rulers that control the city for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally dangerous:
- The rogue and The character are known criminals.
- The strong figure and The cleric defied House Halovar and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
- The fighter is marked for death by the clan.
This leaves them little choice but to travel to the remote area in search of the antagonist.
Upcoming Developments
Based on the recent installment’s follow-up content, we find out that the Soldiers table won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the cast members to form the Seekers and Planners parties.
Fans can expect learning which characters will be assigned to which table in the season’s concluding setup installment, released on October 24.
